Ingredients

  • 2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing the dish
  • Optional: breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the toaster oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a small baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish, then sprinkle with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour half of the heavy cream over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  6. If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
  7. Bake in the toaster oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
