- 1 large egg, beaten

- 5 tsp (8 ml) ground cinnamon
- 120 g white sugar
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) unsalted butter, softened
- 120 g chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with grease.
- For the base: Reserve 1 cup of the cake mix for later use. In a large bowl, blend the remaining cake mix with the melted butter and beaten egg until the mixture is smooth. Press this mixture evenly into the base of the prepared dish.
- For the pumpkin layer: In a separate large bowl, thoroughly blend the pumpkin puree, white sugar, brown sugar, beaten eggs, and cinnamon. Pour this mixture over the crust.
- For the topping: Mix the reserved cake mix with the sugar and softened butter until it forms a crumbly texture. Sprinkle this over the pumpkin layer, then evenly distribute the chopped walnuts on top.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
