Description

Discover the secrets to making Rapid Rise Bread with ease! Learn the step-by-step process to bake delicious, fluffy bread quickly at home. Perfect for any meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s very warm water {I used tap}
  • 1 packet rapid rise yeast {or 2 1/4 teaspoon (11 ml) s}
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon (30 ml) s vegetable oil
  • 43/451/4 cup (3060 ml) s all purpose flour
  • 11/2 teaspoon (28 ml) s salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the very warm water, rapid rise yeast, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir well and allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes until a creamy foam begins to appear.
  2. Incorporate the vegetable oil, half of the all-purpose flour (about 2 1/4 cups), and salt. Begin mixing with a dough hook or use your hands. Gradually add the remaining flour until the dough detaches from the bowl’s sides. Knead for 4-5 minutes using the dough hook or on a floured surface if mixing manually.
  3. Drape a dish towel over the bowl containing the dough and place it in a warm area to rise for about 20 minutes, or until it nearly doubles in size.
  4. Split the dough into two equal parts and place each into a loaf pan that has been liberally coated with non-stick spray.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the loaves for 25-30 minutes until the tops turn golden brown. If you tap the top and it sounds hollow, it’s ready.
  6. After baking, take the bread out of the oven and allow it to cool in the pans for 5-10 minutes. Then transfer the loaves to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  7. Slice the bread into 1/2 inch pieces. Use these slices for sandwiches or toast. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Notes

  • Make sure the water is about 110°F (43°C) to activate the yeast properly for proofingnAdd flour gradually until the dough pulls away from the bowlnGenerously apply non-stick spray to loaf pans to avoid sticking
