Description
A vibrant, fresh blueberry salsa combining sweet berries with jalapeño for a mild to medium heat. Perfect for chips, grilled chicken, or fish.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Set aside 1/2 cup of whole blueberries for adding just before serving.
- In a food processor, pulse the remaining 1 1/2 cups blueberries a few times until coarsely chopped.
- Transfer to a bowl and add diced jalapeño, red onion, and cilantro.
- Add lime juice, honey, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, fold in the reserved 1/2 cup whole blueberries.
- Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
Notes
- For a spicier salsa, leave some of the jalapeño seeds in.
- This salsa is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
