- 9 ounces cheese tortellini
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the fresh sage leaves and cook until the butter is browned and fragrant.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss gently to coat in the sage butter.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Reserve a small amount of pasta water to enhance the creaminess when tossing the tortellini in the sage butter.
