- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides.
- Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
- In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth. Bring it to a boil. Mix in cornstarch to thicken the sauce, then pour over the meatballs.
- For the mashed potatoes, boil the diced potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them with heavy cream, butter, minced garlic, and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve meatballs over a bed of garlic herb mashed potatoes.
