Description

A comforting classic featuring seasoned ground beef, vibrant vegetables, and fluffy mashed potatoes, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups frozen vegetables (such as peas and carrots)
  • 1 cup gravy
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the frozen vegetables, gravy, and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
  4. Pour the meat and vegetable mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top of the meat mixture, smoothing out with a spatula.
  6. Season the top with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a smoother texture, use a potato ricer for the mashed potatoes. Experiment with vegetable combinations for variety.
