Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 can biscuit dough
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions and bell peppers to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer biscuit pieces, then top with the sloppy joe mixture.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
  7. Optional: sprinkle cheddar cheese on top in the last 5 minutes of baking.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using a dash of smoked paprika or cumin. Serve with pickles or coleslaw.
