  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  4. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks, then return it to the slow cooker.
  5. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions, then add them to the slow cooker.
  6. Stir in frozen peas if using, and let sit for an additional 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sear the beef chuck roast before slow cooking and consider adding herbs like smoked paprika for variation.
