Description

A comforting side dish made with creamy cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crispy corn flakes, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 15 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cups frozen cubed potatoes (thawed at room temperature for at least 30 minutes)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 cups corn-flakes cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray your chosen baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the thawed cubed potatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until everything blends well.
  3. Pour the potato mixture into your baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer.
  4. Place the corn flakes in a sealed plastic food storage bag and crush them gently. Transfer to a bowl and add the melted butter, mixing until coated.
  5. Spoon the corn flakes over the potato mixture in the baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 35 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
