- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 15 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
- 3 cups frozen cubed potatoes (thawed at room temperature for at least 30 minutes)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 cups corn-flakes cereal
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray your chosen baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed cubed potatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until everything blends well.
- Pour the potato mixture into your baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer.
- Place the corn flakes in a sealed plastic food storage bag and crush them gently. Transfer to a bowl and add the melted butter, mixing until coated.
- Spoon the corn flakes over the potato mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for about 35 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, experiment with different cheeses or add sautéed onions for extra flavor.
