Description

A delightful twist on traditional banana bread infused with snickerdoodle flavors, perfect for warmth and nostalgia.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas into a smooth consistency in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the wet ingredients: Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  4. Whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk; mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top for even baking.
  7. Create the topping by mixing the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread rest in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added texture, consider mixing in chocolate chips or nuts. Best served with coffee or tea.
