Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar until foamy
  2. Mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt in a large bowl
  3. Add eggs, melted butter, and yeast mixture to dry ingredients
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic
  5. Let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour)
  6. Roll out dough and cut into donut shapes
  7. Let shaped donuts rise again for 30 minutes
  8. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C)
  9. Fry donuts until golden brown
  10. Cool and add desired toppings
