  • 1 cup (240 ml) natural salted peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp (4 ml) nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) fine sea salt
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) chocolate chips, plus a sprinkle for topping

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth, ensuring you have one cup.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas with peanut butter, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Whisk the mixture until it is completely smooth.
  4. Mix in the chocolate chips. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
  5. Bake the mixture for 25 minutes. Allow it to cool, then cut into pieces and enjoy! These are fantastic with a topping of my Healthy Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting.
