- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
- Mix in the cooked egg noodles and peas (if using).
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle dried herbs like thyme or paprika before adding cheese.
