- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic; season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked noodles, beef mixture, sour cream, cottage cheese, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with cooked lentils or plant-based crumbles. Consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
