Description

A simple yet flavorful pasta dish featuring spaghetti, garlic, and olive oil, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces of spaghetti
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, sliced or minced
  • ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ cup of chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions in salted water until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking until garlic is fragrant and lightly golden (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Drain the spaghetti, reserving some pasta water.
  5. Add the spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil.
  6. If needed, add a bit of reserved pasta water to help the sauce coat the pasta.
  7. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
  8. Serve hot, with grated parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your taste. Consider adding sautéed vegetables or protein for a more filling meal.
