Description
Discover how to make irresistible spiced holiday nuts with this easy recipe. Perfect for snacking or gifting, these nuts are a festive treat everyone will love!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 3 cups mixed nuts (such as cashews, almonds, walnuts, and pecans) (360 g)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) salt
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) chopped fresh thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Warm the olive oil in a big frying pan set to medium-high heat.
- Introduce the mixed nuts and toss them around to ensure they are covered in oil. Let them cook until they become more colorful and release a pleasant aroma, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, in a separate small bowl, mix together the salt, sugar, chopped rosemary, thyme, and ground cayenne pepper.
- Scatter this seasoning blend over the nuts and stir well to distribute evenly. Take the nuts off the heat and allow them to cool down before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the nuts are evenly coated with olive oil to prevent burning during cooking.
- Be cautious not to overcook the nuts as they can quickly turn from perfectly roasted to burnt.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper quantity based on your preference to customize the nuts’ heat level.
