- 1 can (425 g) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup (240 ml) yogurt
- 1 cup (240 ml) mashed avocado
- 1 cup (240 ml) tomato salsa
- 1 cup (113 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (30 g) chopped scallions
- 1/4 cup (30 g) sliced green olives
- 1 cup (55 g) shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the drained and rinsed black beans.
- Mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Stir in the ground cumin, garlic powder, and salt to taste.
- Spread the mashed black bean mixture evenly onto a serving platter.
- Layer the guacamole evenly over the black bean mixture.
- Spread the salsa over the guacamole layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded lettuce evenly on top of the salsa.
- Layer the diced tomatoes evenly over the lettuce.
- Scatter the shredded cheddar cheese over the tomatoes.
- Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the cheese.
- Add the sliced black olives on top of the green onions.
- Fill a small plastic bag with sour cream and cut a small tip off one corner.
- Pipe the sour cream in concentric circles over the top of the dip.
- Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center circle to the edge to create a spiderweb pattern.
- Serve the dip with tortilla chips on the side.
