Description
A classic steak dinner featuring perfectly grilled steak and creamy garlic mashed potatoes, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice)
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter and add the minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- In another pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, then drain and mash with the remaining butter, salt, and pepper.
- Grill or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare.
- Serve the steak alongside the garlic mashed potatoes.
- Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the steak for extra flavor.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the grill for a proper sear. Let the steak rest after cooking to redistribute the juices.
