Description

A classic steak dinner featuring perfectly grilled steak and creamy garlic mashed potatoes, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice)
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  3. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter and add the minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. In another pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, then drain and mash with the remaining butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Grill or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare.
  6. Serve the steak alongside the garlic mashed potatoes.
  7. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the steak for extra flavor.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the grill for a proper sear. Let the steak rest after cooking to redistribute the juices.
