Description
A delightful dish combining sticky honey garlic steak and rotini pasta, perfect for a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank, thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 oz rotini pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Season the steak slices with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet in batches, if necessary, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side until reaching your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger (if using) to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, cooking for 2-3 minutes and allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta in the honey garlic sauce.
Notes
Adjust the honey quantity to taste. Add red pepper flakes for heat if desired. Serve with garnishes for an attractive presentation.
