- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Cream cheese glaze ingredients
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth dough forms.
- Let dough rise in warm place for 1 hour.
- Prepare strawberry filling by cooking strawberries with brown sugar.
- Roll out dough, spread filling, and roll into log.
- Cut into 12 rolls and let rise again.
- Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm but not hot to activate yeast properly
- Let dough rise in a warm, draft-free place
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight
