- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 4 cups sliced strawberries
- 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 16 oz Cool Whip
Instructions
- Mix together the crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Stir in the melted butter until it’s well combined.
- Spread the pretzel mixture onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it becomes bubbly and fragrant.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely, then break it into small pieces for the topping.
- Beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth and well-blended in a large bowl using an electric mixer.
- Fold in the Cool Whip gently to maintain its light and airy texture.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Before serving, fold in the sliced strawberries and half of the pretzel crunch mixture.
- Top with the remaining pretzel crunch and serve immediately.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, toast pecans lightly before chopping. You can prepare components separately and assemble just before serving for freshness.
