Description
Make perfectly crispy, lightly sweetened banana chips in your air fryer with this simple recipe. A healthy snack alternative that’s ready in minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 slightly underripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Slice bananas into thin rounds, approximately 1/8-inch thick.
- Toss banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar (if using) in a small bowl, then sprinkle over banana slices.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
- Cook at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until chips are golden and crispy.
- Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Use slightly underripe bananas for best results – they’ll be less likely to become mushy.
- Make sure to slice the bananas evenly for consistent cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket – cook in batches if needed.
- Store in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
