A delightful blend of tender steak and perfectly cooked pasta in a sweet-savory sauce, reminiscent of family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine everything well. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
For added tenderness, consider marinating the steak in soy sauce, honey, and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking. Alternatively, introduce vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for added nutrition.
