A hearty meatloaf infused with the flavors of Swiss cheese, crispy bacon, and tender sautéed mushrooms for an unforgettable family meal.

- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup cooked bacon (chopped)
- 1 cup mushrooms (sliced and sautéed)
- 1 small onion (finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the bacon until crispy; remove and set aside. Use the bacon fat to sauté the mushrooms until nicely browned.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, mixing gently.
- Fold in half of the shredded Swiss cheese and form the mixture into a loaf shape on a lined baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- Press the remaining cheese on top of the meatloaf, along with the sautéed mushrooms and crispy bacon.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
