Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and frozen mixed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Layer frozen tater tots over the beef mixture.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Let tater tots thaw for a few minutes before placing them on top for even cooking and better crispiness. Substitute ground beef with beans or lentils for a meat-free version.
