Description

A comforting tater tot casserole filled with ground beef, vegetables, and creamy goodness, topped with crispy tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and frozen mixed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  5. Layer frozen tater tots over the beef mixture.
  6. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Let tater tots thaw for a few minutes before placing them on top for even cooking and better crispiness. Substitute ground beef with beans or lentils for a meat-free version.
