Description

A delightful dish featuring crispy tofu coated in sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and sesame oil, and stir to coat the tofu evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, ensure tofu is pressed well to achieve maximum crispiness. Feel free to add vegetables for added nutrition and color.
