Description

A delightful appetizer combining tender shrimp in crispy pastry, bursting with flavors of garlic and ginger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 package spring roll wrappers or phyllo pastry
  • Oil for frying
  • Dipping sauces (e.g., sweet chili sauce, peanut sauce)

Instructions

  1. Combine shrimp with soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Lay out a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface, place a marinated shrimp at one end, fold the sides, and roll it up tightly.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the wrapped shrimp until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying to keep shrimp crispy.
