- 5 large potatoes
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Let the potatoes cool, then peel and mash them in a large bowl.
- Add sour cream, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until the texture is smooth.
- Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until heated through and slightly golden on top.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Feel free to add crispy bacon bits or sautéed vegetables for extra texture. Adjust seasonings to taste before baking.
