Description

Crispy, golden tofu strips marinated in a tangy ‘honey’ mustard sauce for a delicious plant-based dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to create the sauce.
  4. Dip each tofu strip in the sauce, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the coated tofu strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Drizzle with a little oil for crispiness.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve with the remaining ‘honey’ mustard sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider using panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.
