- 14 oz firm tofu
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for baking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into strips.
- In a bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to create the sauce.
- Dip each tofu strip in the sauce, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated tofu strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle with a little oil for crispiness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve with the remaining ‘honey’ mustard sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider using panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.
