Ingredients

- 1 lb ground venison
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix ground venison, breadcrumbs, egg, jalapeños, cheese, salt, and pepper in a large bowl
- Form mixture into 4 equal patties, refrigerate for 30 minutes
- Heat olive oil in cast iron skillet or grill to medium-high heat
- Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 145°F
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving
Notes
- For best results, don’t overcook the venison as it can become dry
- You can adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of jalapeños
- The patties can be made ahead and frozen for up to 3 months
