Ingredients

- 1 lb ground venison
- 1 large cabbage head
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water until pliable
- Mix venison, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper
- Fill and roll cabbage leaves with meat mixture
- Place rolls in baking dish, cover with tomato sauce and broth
- Bake at 350°F for 1 hour until cooked through
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef for venison if needed
- Parboil the cabbage leaves until just flexible to make rolling easier
- Can be made ahead and frozen for up to 3 months
- Serve hot with additional sauce if desired
