Instructions
- Set your oven to preheat at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the flour, softened butter, and confectioners’ sugar until the mixture becomes airy and smooth, which should take around 10 minutes.
- Spoon portions of the dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart without greasing the sheets.
- Gently press a piece of red or green maraschino cherry into the center of each dough portion.
- Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake until the bottoms of the cookies turn a light brown, approximately 15 to 17 minutes.
