- 4 pieces of fresh cod
- 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, divided
- Lemon slices
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt (add more if desired)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Clean and pat the fish dry.
- Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over the fish and coat both sides.
- Mix together all of the listed seasonings, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture onto both sides of the fish.
- Add lemon slices to a baking sheet and drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of oil onto the baking sheet.
- Place the fish onto the lemon slices and put the baking sheet in the oven.
- Bake at 400°F for about 10 minutes (or until cooked to your liking).
- Broil for 1 to 2 minutes to achieve a nice golden finish.
Notes
