- 1 16 oz. can refrigerated biscuits
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
- Prepare the biscuits: Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate each piece. Roll each biscuit into a rope about 6 inches long and form it into a knot.
- Melt the butter: In a small bowl, melt the butter.
- Coat the knots: Dip each knot into the melted butter and then roll in a mixture of granulated sugar and orange zest.
- Bake: Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions, usually around 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Make the glaze: In another bowl, combine the powdered sugar and freshly squeezed orange juice. Add in the additional teaspoon of orange zest.
- Glaze the knots: Once the knots are baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the orange glaze over the top.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh orange zest and real butter. Experiment with different citrus zest for varied flavor profiles.
