  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s butter, unsalted and melted
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoon (20 ml) s lemon zest, grated
  • 45 tablespoon (68 ml) s butter, unsalted and melted

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and lemon zest.
  2. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Continue mixing until the batter is smooth. Coat your donut pans with a non-stick spray and fill them about 3/4 full with the batter. Place them in the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes at 320°F using the air fryer setting.
  4. Prepare the glaze by mixing together the sugar, grated lemon zest, and melted butter. Pour the glaze over the donuts.
  5. Serve them on a plate and enjoy!
