Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken (leftover or rotisserie)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Mix the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Layer with BBQ chicken and shredded cheese, then top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes
