Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water or peach juice
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In the crock pot, spread the peach mixture evenly on the bottom.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the peach mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the butter and peaches; do not stir.
  5. Pour the water or peach juice over the cake mix.
  6. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes
