- 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water or peach juice
- Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and set aside.
- In the crock pot, spread the peach mixture evenly on the bottom.
- Pour the melted butter over the peach mixture.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the butter and peaches; do not stir.
- Pour the water or peach juice over the cake mix.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider using brown sugar and add oatmeal on top for a crunchy texture.
