- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, fat trimmed off
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of your prepared crockpot.
- Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring even coating.
- Cover the crockpot and set to cook on high for 150-180 minutes or low for 300-360 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F.
- Remove the chicken and shred with two forks, allowing it to soak up the remaining sauce.
Notes
For less sweetness, gradually reduce the light brown sugar. You can also customize the BBQ sauce to your taste.
