Description

A creative twist on traditional biscuits and gravy, this breakfast pizza features sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and gooey cheddar cheese on a pre-baked pizza crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 oz) breakfast sausage
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 pre-baked pizza crust (12-inch)
  • Cooking spray
  • 6 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk (for the eggs)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or more, if desired)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sausage gravy: Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up until browned. Drain excess grease, then sprinkle the flour over the sausage, stirring to combine. Gradually add 2 cups of milk, stirring until thickened. Season with black pepper and set aside.
  2. Set up the pizza base: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the pre-baked pizza crust on a baking sheet and brush it lightly with olive oil, if desired. Spread half of the sausage gravy over the crust to create a flavor-packed base.
  3. Cook the eggs: In a separate skillet, scramble the eggs with ¼ cup of milk over medium-high heat until just set. Remove from heat to prevent overcooking.
  4. Assemble the pizza: Spoon the fluffy scrambled eggs over the gravy on the pizza crust. Next, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
  5. Bake the pizza: Place your assembled pizza in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly, creating that perfect, enticing look.
  6. Serve: Allow the pizza to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try adding veggies like spinach or bell peppers to the scrambled eggs.
