- 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and seasonings in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by half of the cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Pour the soup mixture over the top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
