- 1 egg

Instructions
- Bring the chicken broth to a boil in a large pot.
- Add diced carrots, celery, and onion. Cook for about 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the boiling soup.
- Add the chicken and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, until dumplings are cooked through.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
