- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Whip the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until smooth. Add the milk to achieve a creamy consistency.
- Scoop the dough onto prepared baking sheets using a tablespoon. Add a dollop of cream cheese mixture on top of each cookie round.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden. Allow cooling on sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
