  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Whip the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until smooth. Add the milk to achieve a creamy consistency.
  6. Scoop the dough onto prepared baking sheets using a tablespoon. Add a dollop of cream cheese mixture on top of each cookie round.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden. Allow cooling on sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
