- 1 whole rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 2 cups of cooked pasta (penne, elbow macaroni, or rotini)
- 2 cups of fresh broccoli florets
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of cream or a creamy base (such as sour cream or cream of mushroom soup)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Combine the shredded rotisserie chicken, cooked pasta, broccoli, shredded cheese, creamy base, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until ingredients mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs atop the casserole if desired.
- Cover with aluminum foil, then bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider mixing in different vegetables or proteins. Allowing the casserole to rest before serving helps it set.
