Description

A mouth-watering meat tray featuring hot dogs and tender ribs, perfect for gatherings that celebrate Texas BBQ culture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 rack of ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 810 hot dogs
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the ribs. Trim any excess fat and remove the membrane from the back for better flavor absorption.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mix generously onto the ribs.
  3. Allow the ribs to marinate for at least 240 minutes or, for best results, overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Once heated, place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cook for about 180-240 minutes, basting with BBQ sauce periodically until the meat reaches your desired tenderness.
  6. While the ribs cook, prepare the hot dogs. Grill them alongside the ribs for about 5-8 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly charred.
  7. Once ribs are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest before slicing.
  8. Assemble your meat tray with the cooked ribs and hot dogs, adding any sides or sauces you wish.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider using wood chips in your grill for smoking the ribs.
