Description

Delightfully simple lemon bars made with just two ingredients, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14.5 to 16 oz box of angel food cake mix (dry)
  • 21 oz can of lemon pie filling (not lemon curd or lemon pudding)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Empty the dry angel food cake mix and the lemon pie filling into a large bowl with tall sides.
  4. Stir with a wooden spoon until completely combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly to the edges.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the center springs back when gently pressed.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting, at least 30 to 45 minutes.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, cut into 12 bars, and serve.

Notes

Ensure to incorporate air gently into the batter for a light texture. Consider adding lemon zest for enhanced flavor.
