Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter, cut into tablespoons
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, stirred, spooned & leveled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and coat four 6-ounce ramekins with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a large glass measuring cup in 30-second increments until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla and salt to the melted mixture and stir well.
  4. Incorporate the eggs, egg yolks, and flour into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 2/3 full.
  6. Arrange ramekins on a sheet tray and bake at 450°F for 8-10 minutes until edges set but the center is sunken.
  7. Invert cakes onto plates immediately, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with raspberries or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a creative twist, consider adding a pinch of espresso powder into the batter. Adjust baking times according to ramekin size.
