Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a large bowl and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, resist overmixing the batter. Allow melted butter to cool slightly before adding to the mixture.
