Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1 can (21 oz) of cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of sweetened shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the angel food cake mix instructions.
  2. Combine the angel food cake mix with water in a large bowl and mix until well blended.
  3. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake according to package instructions, usually about 30-35 minutes.
  4. Let it cool upside down on a wire rack.
  5. Remove the cake from the pan and place it on a serving plate.
  6. Spread whipped topping over the top and sides of the cake.
  7. Pour cherry pie filling over the whipped cream.
