- 1 medium onion, chopped

- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pre-made pie crust or homemade pastry for top crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Mix in carrots and peas, allowing them to soften slightly.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine evenly.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme to taste.
- Pour the beef mixture into a pie dish and cover with the top crust, sealing the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes
Allow the pot pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing for easier serving. Pair with a side salad for a balanced meal.
